The European motorway network starts 8 km from the port. Access is via an expressway, which is soon to be converted to 4 lanes.
S.N.C.F. FREIGHT is available on the port to offer a full range
of services. The port has a complete rail network with a double
electrified track suitable for heavy traffic
In 2003, the C.N.C. container terminal comes into operation
in the port area.
1000 t gauge motorised barges give nearly 600 km of access to
Lyon and Burgundy.
For business travellers, Montpellier-Méditerranée
International Airport offers over 20 daily connections to
Paris and provincial cities, along with flights to Algeria,
Morocco and a number of European countries (Germany, Great Britain,
Denmark, etc...).
