C.S.R.S. COMPAGNIE SETOISE DE REMORQUAGE ET DE SAUVETAGE holds the accreditation to carry out port towing services in the port of Sète.

Its responsibilities are:
Assisting ships that request it with their docking, casting off and hauling-out manoeuvres.
Fire-fighting, with its three tugboats fitted with FIFI water pumps
Assisting ships in difficulty, directed by CROSS

Its means are defined in a set of specifications (article 10A of the Port of Sète Police Regulations)

The CHAMBON LARGADE, a traditional 26-metre tugboat with 2 propellers and two Kort nozzles offering 3,000 Hp (2x1,500) and 40 tonnes of traction. It can provide a port tow on a 150-metre “DYNEEMA” towline with 140 tonnes’ resistance. For operations at sea, its winch can be rapidly fitted with a steel cable sea towline 500 metres long and with a diameter of 42 mm

CHAMBON BISO a traditional 19-metre tugboat with 2 propellers and two Kort nozzles offering 2,000 Hp (2x1,000) and 30 tonnes of traction. It can provide a port tow on a 75-metre “DYNEEMA” towline with 140 tonnes’ resistance.

MARSEILLAS 2, a traditional 26-metre tugboat with 1 propeller and one Kort nozzle offering 1,500 Hp and 23 tonnes of traction.
Its three tugboats are manned by 4 x 4-man crews and are part of the COMPAGNIE MARITIME CHAMBON
