Area of activity of Sète-Frontignan
The area of activity is in the ZIFMar port of Sète Frontignan (Industrial Zone sea-river), in the municipality of Frontignan. It is managed by Port South of France. The fishing port service is in charge of its administration.
This area of 17 hectares is divided into different lots from 300 to 20,000 m2, hosting the institutions working Seafood: oyster, fish traders, fish farmers, etc.
The area was the subject of rehabilitation with a layout of the common areas: road works, parking, landscaping, lighting, locking gates and installation of CCTV. Work is in progress and the project is due to be finished mid 2015.
The creation of a public fishing park is under development. This area will:
- Accommodate the equipment of fishing professionals: nets, annexes (small vessel), panels, etc.
- A net repair area, allowing fishermen a space for cleaning, repair or replacement of nets.
- Toilets
- A boat dock.
Work in this area is in progress: delivery scheduled for Q3 2015.
Leased Lots
Lots are available following the "Project Calls" launched by Port southern France. Following a presentation of their project, the selected candidates become tenants of land: they are tenants for a fixed term. They must respect the rules of use set out in their tenancy contracts and farm only in the operating area of the settlement.
Some lots are serviced and supplied with raw sea water.

Simyra
This area also houses a plant nursery created in 2009 by the Languedoc-Roussillon Region: Simyra. 1500 m2 of space are available for the promotion of seafood development. Common spaces, shared services (delivery dock, shipping, cold storage, waste management, changing rooms, relaxation area, etc.) and private areas (3 workshops 120m2) as well as the nursery.
To request accommodation in Simyra, send a letter to the President of the Languedoc-Roussillon region accompanied by a detailed strategic project (business plan with three years demonstrating the relevance of the project, business prospects, job creation, potential innovative aspects, financial documents will be required).
